Lumber, sheetrock, roofing, flooring, cabinets, furniture, and household cleanout debris all load normally. The refusals come from state rules and from the landfill that receives the load.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality publishes what every class of landfill may not accept: used oil, used oil filters, lead-acid storage batteries, and regulated hazardous waste are prohibited outright. Liquid waste is restricted too, and untreated medical waste is barred except by special authorization.
City collection draws its own line. Seguin's crews will not take construction debris such as lumber, plywood, or carpeting, nor hazardous chemicals, paint, tires, or appliances holding refrigerant. Dried-out paint cans are the one exception they will accept in a cart.
Paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, propane cylinders, and asbestos stay out of every container we deliver. Tires and refrigerant appliances have their own disposal routes.
Appliances and tires are usually billed per item instead of by weight, so tell your account manager about them when you book and the quote will hold.
