Most construction and remodeling loads from Stephenville go to the City of Stephenville Landfill, at 669 County Road 385, Stephenville, TX 76401. The landfill page lists hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, from June through August, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, from September through May. It closes Sundays, Mondays, and several holidays, and it shuts down in wet weather.
Because the City landfill only takes Type IV waste, a mixed load with household trash can't go there. The nearest landfills that accept household waste are outside Erath County, so sorting your debris can make a real difference.
For household chemicals, the City has an agreement with the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center, at 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth, TX. City residents with proof of residency can drop items off free on Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Your account manager will confirm where your load is going and explain any fees before delivery.
