in Shafter
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals across Shafter, California, where distribution centers, rail served warehouses and industrial parks sit beside almond orchards and new neighborhoods. Construction crews on big tilt up buildings, utility and road work, farm crews, and community events from Cinco de Mayo to First Fridays downtown all need restrooms brought in. Your account manager sets the unit count, the service visits and the delivery window, and a local partner handles the delivery and the cleaning.
Shafter changed how its street permits work this year. Since August 3, 2026, every encroachment permit application goes through the city's online portal, and you need an account before you can apply. Below you will find Shafter pricing, the state crew count on large industrial sites, the portal and the other city steps, unit choice, placement and lead times.
Crew size drives most Shafter quotes. A warehouse shell with a hundred trades on site needs a bank of units and washing stations on one route, and the per unit cost falls as the bank grows.
Site layout is the second factor. Large industrial pads in Shafter spread work across hundreds of feet, so units are often split into two or three groups to keep them close to each crew.
Project length is the third. Distribution and logistics builds run for many months, and long bookings lower the weekly rate.
Service frequency is the fourth. A big crew in Kern County summer heat usually needs two or three visits a week.

Request a Quote NowOn a large Shafter build, the arithmetic matters more than anywhere else, because the state rule has no ceiling. California runs its own approved worker safety plan, covering private employers and public agencies, and its construction toilet rule asks for one separate toilet facility for each 20 employees or fraction of 20, of each sex.
Work it through for a warehouse crew of 110 men and 12 women. The men need six facilities, since 110 divided by 20 rounds up to six, and the women need one, for seven in all. If some of the men's facilities are urinals, toilets must still make up at least half of the seven. A federal style table that slows down after the first 40 workers would give a much lower number, and it does not apply here.
Washing scales the same way. The state asks for one washing station per 20 employees, or seven stations on that same crew, each stocked with soap and single use towels and placed so anyone using a toilet can readily wash. Where the toilets are chemical units, every station stands outside and unattached, with a sign showing the water is for washing.
Smaller Shafter jobs have two easier cases. A crew of fewer than five can share one single user unit marked for all genders, and a mobile crew with transport readily available to nearby toilets is outside the rule.
Orchard crews around Shafter doing hand work follow the state's separate field sanitation rule, with the same one per 20 count and a walking limit of a quarter mile or five minutes.
For events, Shafter publishes no restroom ratio, so the Shafter count is planned with your account manager, usually from one unit per 50 guests across roughly four hours.
The Standard Porta Potty makes up most of a Shafter construction bank. The Handwashing Station comes in the same numbers on a big site, one per 20 workers, so order them together.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives a level floor, a wide door and grab bars, and every public event in Shafter's parks should include one. The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink suits a small office trailer area or a site visit station.
The Restroom Trailer suits a long project office or a corporate event at a new facility, and the Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty suits weddings and parties. The Solar Porta Potty lights itself for night shifts on an unlit pad. See them all on the porta potty options page.
On private Shafter land with the owner's consent, a placed unit does not usually need a city permit of its own. Three city steps apply once your plan goes further.
Shafter's first step is the encroachment permit. The city's Engineering Department says one is required for any work within city right of way, with fees paid at submission. Since August 3, 2026 all applications go through the online portal, and applicants have to create an account first. The city encourages contractors, developers and utility companies to set up accounts before they need them, and Public Works helps with registration on 661-746-5004.
The second is water. A restroom trailer with flushing toilets needs a water supply, and Shafter requires a temporary construction hydrant meter for any temporary water use within the city's water service area. The application is online, and city staff contact you once it is reviewed.
The third is events. Shafter's Community Services department coordinates special event permits and park and facility reservations, and it handles a steady volume: 33 special event permits and 841 park reservations in the year to June 2026. Apply through the city's online form, and ask about restrooms when you do.
Food at a Shafter event is a county matter, handled by Kern County's Environmental Health Division in Bakersfield on 661-862-8740, the office the state's solid waste database lists at 2700 M Street.
On a large Shafter pad, split the units into groups near each work area, so nobody walks across the whole site. Keep each group on firm, level ground with a clear lane for the service truck, away from forklift routes and material laydown.
Keep units clear of storm drain inlets and fresh concrete, and turn doors away from the prevailing wind, which carries dust across open ground here.
California regulates the servicing firm. It must register with the local health officer to clean chemical toilets and dispose of the waste, and the registration expires each calendar year. Prime Dumpster coordinates Shafter service through a registered local partner, whose truck pumps each tank into a sealed vessel and takes the waste to a permitted site.
Weekly service is the floor on most jobs. Big crews in summer usually need two or three visits a week, and night shifts may need service timed between them.

Standard units for a private Shafter site can often be arranged within a day or two. Large banks and city steps need more notice.
From Shafter we arrange units northwest to Wasco, southeast to Bakersfield and Arvin, north to Delano and Porterville, and northwest to Corcoran. Minter Field, the industrial parks along Seventh Standard Road and the farm ground around the city are covered too, and outside city limits Kern County rules apply.
A standard Shafter unit runs $199 to $349 and an accessible unit $200 to $300. In Shafter, flushing or sink cabins are $300 to $400, solar cabins $500 to $600, washing stations $150 to $250 and trailers from $1,500. Large construction banks usually lower the per unit cost.
Shafter sets no ratio, so we plan from one unit per 50 guests over about four hours, adding more for food, alcohol and long days. Include an accessible unit and a washing station near food, and check with Community Services when you apply for the event permit.
The state plan sets one separate toilet facility per 20 employees or fraction of 20, of each sex, with no ceiling. A Shafter crew of 110 men and 12 women needs seven facilities and seven washing stations. Toilets must be at least half the facilities if urinals are used.
Weekly is the minimum on most Shafter jobs, with each tank pumped, the cabin washed and supplies restocked. Large crews and summer heat often call for two or three visits. Your account manager sets the Shafter schedule around your shifts.
On private Shafter land with the owner's consent, usually no. Anything in the right of way needs an encroachment permit through the city's online portal, and events go through Community Services. Your account manager confirms the route before delivery.
The ADA model offers a level floor, a wide door, grab bars and turning room for a wheelchair. The standard model is slimmer and suits a Shafter construction crew. Every public event in a Shafter park should place one ADA model on a firm path.
A standard Shafter unit over a weekend usually sits near the low end of $199 to $349. A flushing cabin for a Saturday party costs $300 to $400, and trailers start at $1,500. Your account manager rolls the Shafter delivery, servicing and collection into one quote.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. For a Shafter build, add the peak crew split by men and women and the size of the pad, so the units and stations arrive in the right numbers and groups.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager then works out the facility count, lines up the service partner and keeps the Shafter portal and hydrant steps on schedule with you.
