Town streets and right-of-way: Work or equipment in a Town road right-of-way is handled by the Apple Valley Engineering Department at 14955 Dale Evans Parkway. Call the Town at 760-240-7000 before anything goes in the road.
Events: The Special Event Application goes to the Town's Community Development Department at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway. The form asks you to list your number of toilets, your food units, and the people expected each day, so have your rental count ready. The Town also asks for a liability insurance certificate of at least $1,000,000 naming the Town, and it notes that serving food or drink brings in County health permits.
Sales events on a lot: A grand opening under a special event permit can run up to seven days, and other promotions up to three days, so plan your rental window to match.
Food vendors: An Event Organizer Permit from San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services is required once two or more food vendors are on site, and the application is due at least two weeks out. The County wants toilets with handwashing stations within 200 feet of every food booth, drawn on your site map, and each booth needs its own sink setup with warm water, soap, and towels.
