Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Fresno
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Fresno, California, and the farm towns and suburbs around it. Units go out to construction and remodeling work along the Highway 99 corridor, warehouse and packing house projects in the industrial south of the city, orchard crews outside the city limits, and events of every size, from a street fair downtown to a birthday party in a backyard off Shaw Avenue.
What you pay comes down to the unit you choose, how many you need, how long you keep them, and how often a truck comes back to service them. Below you will find our ranges, the counts Fresno and California actually ask for, the office that owns the ground you have picked, and how quickly we can be on site.
Our ranges rest on a three-day rental, which covers almost every weekend event in Fresno. A single Saturday and a full Friday to Sunday run usually land on the same number, so there is nothing to gain by trimming the dates.
Job sites work on a longer clock. A tract build out past Herndon or a tenant fit-out near the airport is normally priced in four-week cycles with service included, and the weekly figure drops sharply after the first cycle.
Two local things push a Fresno quote up. California counts toilets by crew and by sex and then asks for a separate washing station, so a job site here buys two line items rather than one. And the City uses its own published restroom table for events, so a mid-sized festival here often needs more units than an organizer first guesses.
Then there is access and heat. A unit beside a paved lot is quick to drop and quick to service. One at the end of a dirt row, behind a locked gate, or inside a fenced yard costs the driver time. Summer here runs long and hot, which is usually a reason to add a service visit rather than a unit. Your account manager will price all of it with you before you commit.

Request a Quote NowFresno is unusual in that the City publishes a restroom table of its own, so use the local one for events and the state orders for job sites:
Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting number in a minute, and your account manager will square it against the City table before the order goes in.
Pick by who uses the unit and how long they stand in the sun. Everything we carry is shown on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the workhorse: a private stall with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer. It suits crews, yard work, and smaller gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, steps in flat at grade, and carries grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair. Fresno events need these in the mix from the first unit, so order them early.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty gives guests a flushing bowl and much better odor control, which matters in August.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the stall, so guests are not hunting for water across the site.
The Solar Porta Potty draws light and fan power from a roof panel. Orchard blocks, canal work, and evening events with no outlet are where it earns its keep.
The Handwashing Station is a free-standing sink with clean water, soap, and towels. On a California job site this is a required item, not an upsell.
The Restroom Trailer tows in with several private stalls, plumbed water, and climate control. Weddings, company days, and long-running sites justify it.
Not sure yet? Give your account manager a guest count or a crew split and they will set the mix for you.
On private ground, such as your own yard, a driveway, or a fenced job site, you will not normally need a City permit in Fresno. Public ground is a different question, and so is any organized event.
Streets, sidewalks, and alleys: The City is blunt about it. Nobody may encroach on a public right-of-way in Fresno without first holding a valid encroachment permit issued by the Public Works Director, and the application goes in on the Director's own form with a description of the purpose and the work. The Director grants it only after finding that it will not harm public health, safety, and welfare, and may attach conditions. An encroachment permit does not replace a street work permit where work happens in the roadway, so plan on both if you are cutting or digging. Fees come from the City's master fee resolution rather than a printed schedule, so ask the counter for the current figure.
Organized events: A completed special event application must reach the City at least sixty days before the date, or thirty days for an event using a designated parade route. Applications are handled first come, first served, and a reviewer from the events office becomes your single point of contact. Processing fees total $378.00 on the City's own application packet, with more added depending on police, fire, and road closure needs. Reach the events office on 559-621-2916.
Food at the event: Food booths and mobile food units are reviewed separately, and the County health office sets the sinks and employee restrooms that go with them. Build that into your count rather than discovering it at inspection.
Not sure whose ground you are standing on? Your account manager can work it out with you before you book a thing.
Where a unit sits decides whether it still works on day ten.
Start with level, firm ground and a straight approach for the truck. The drivers need room to pull alongside without low branches, tight gates, or parked cars in the way. On a job site, keep units inside roughly 200 feet of the crew so people actually use them, and set the washing station beside them rather than inside.
Keep units well clear of food service, drinking water, canals, and storm drains. At an event, break the units into groups around the site instead of one long rank, and put an accessible unit in each group, which is also what the City expects. Soft turf and dry dirt move under a unit, so a sheet of plywood or a gravel pad is cheap insurance.
Weekly service is the baseline. Big crews, long Valley heat, and multi-day events usually justify two or three visits a week, and units stay far more pleasant for it. Each stop means an emptied tank, a scrubbed bowl and floor, wiped surfaces, and fresh paper and sanitizer.
Everything pumped out here feeds the regional system. The City maintains roughly 1,600 miles of sewer carrying about 68 million gallons a day to the Fresno-Clovis Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility at Jensen and Cornelia, a secondary treatment plant that also finishes up to five million gallons a day to recycled water standards for farm and landscape irrigation. Your account manager will confirm your service days and the approved disposal point before the first truck rolls.

Most Fresno orders can be on site within 24 to 48 hours. Give us three to five days and we can match the exact mix to the job. For a festival, a fair weekend, or a wedding in spring or fall, allow several weeks, because the whole Valley chases the same dates.
These five habits keep a delivery smooth:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Fresno and the Central Valley communities around it, including Clovis, Madera, Selma, Sanger, Kingsburg, Reedley, Fowler, Dinuba, Kerman, and Parlier. Whether your job sits in the Tower District, out by the river bluffs, or on a ranch road past the city limits, we build the delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
A standard unit runs $199–$349 and an accessible unit $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models sit between $300–$400, solar units between $500–$600, and restroom trailers open at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency move the total. Your account manager confirms the figure in your free quote.
Fresno publishes its own matrix, so use it. Five hundred guests over four hours comes out at five units, a thousand guests over six hours at nine. At least five percent of the units, and never fewer than one, must be accessible. For a small private party we plan on one unit per 50 guests over about four hours.
California goes further than the national rule. The state asks for one separate toilet facility for every 20 workers, or part of 20, of each sex, with no cut-off, plus one washing station per 20 standing outside the unit. Fewer than five workers need only one all-gender unit. Tell your account manager the crew split.
Weekly service is the baseline. On each visit the service crew pumps the tank, scrubs the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Larger crews, hot Valley weeks, and multi-day events usually justify a second or third visit. Your account manager can line the stops up with your busiest days.
Normally no. A unit on ground you own or control needs no City of Fresno permit. A street, sidewalk, or alley does: nobody may encroach on a public right-of-way here without an encroachment permit from the Public Works Director, and work in the roadway needs a street work permit too. Your account manager can tell you which applies.
A standard unit is one narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, enters at grade with no step, and carries grab bars and turning space for a wheelchair. Fresno wants five percent of event units accessible, never fewer than one, and one in each cluster.
Our ranges already cover a three-day rental, so a weekend is the standard measure. A standard unit falls between $199–$349, a deluxe flushing unit between $300–$400, and a handwashing station between $150–$250. Your account manager will confirm the drop time, the service, and the collection.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will size the order against the City table, set the service visits, and give you a clear number on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
