It was incorporated in 2000 and over the past two decades has developed into an exciting destination. As of 2020, the population of Elk Grove stands at 167,965 residents, making it one of the largest cities in Sacramento County.

The Elk Grove Regional Park spans over 100 acres, offering visitors opportunities for fishing, picnicking, hiking trails, playgrounds, and even two dog parks.
