Sacramento, the capital of California, is home to almost 500,000 people. Interestingly, it has a population density of 3,907 inhabitants per square mile – making it one of America’s most densely populated cities outside of New York and Chicago.
The city’s tallest building is the Wells Fargo Center which stands at 428 feet high; however, its highest point is Folsom Dam situated at 461 feet above sea level. Sacramento also has an array of tourist attractions such as Old Town Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park, and Discovery Park – the largest park in the city covering over 300 acres. As for educational institutions, there are two major universities: the University of California Davis Health System and California State University Sacramento.
