Here's what shapes the price of a dumpster in Palm Springs.
Size matters, but the Village caps it. Its code allows one roll-off dumpster per property, no bigger than 20 yards, so most jobs here use a 10, 15, or 20-yard container.
Weight is the next factor. Roof tiles, concrete, stucco, and wet drywall are heavy, and the Authority weighs every load in and out. Concrete, tile and roofing material are also refused at a transfer station outright, so a load carrying them runs to the county landfill rather than to Lantana.
Permits can add a small cost. If a dumpster stays on a property longer than 72 hours, the Village requires a permit with a $60.00 fee, unless your building permit already covers it.
The Village's hauler rules come first of all. Palm Springs gives its contracted hauler the exclusive right to collect construction debris, so your account manager will confirm how that applies to your project before you book.
