CalRecycle's own guidance on waste banned from the trash covers oil-based and latex paint, solvents and thinners, fuels, motor oil and filters, antifreeze, pesticides and herbicides, pool chemicals, acids and oxidizers, fluorescent lamps and tubes, every battery type, propane and other compressed gas cylinders, and electronics including televisions, monitors, printers and microwaves. Tires are banned as well.
